The church’s website had been quickly assembled without a clear design strategy, resulting in a cluttered and visually overwhelming experience. Busy patterns behind images and content made pages difficult to read, while poor navigation and inconsistent layouts meant important information was hard to find. The site was also managed by an external company, creating delays whenever updates were needed. Without an easy-to-use CMS, the church team struggled to keep content current and relevant. A redesign was needed to create a cleaner, more accessible, and easier-to-manage digital experience for both visitors and the church community.

Rapid App Re-Design

Scripture Union were operating two legacy Bible reading apps that were outdated, hard to support, and built on ageing technology. Both apps offered very limited functionality, with minimal features and no real sense of interaction or engagement. The experience felt static and text-heavy, with no use of imagery or visual design to bring the content to life. As a result, users found them uninspiring and often disengaging, particularly younger audiences who expect more modern digital experiences. There was a clear need to redesign and rebuild the apps into a more engaging, visually rich, and scalable platform that could support future growth and features.
